Job description

We are the internal recruitment partner for The Peterborough School and are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Childcare Practitioner to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Childcare Practitioner, you will have experience within an Early Years setting, hold a Level 2 (or above) childcare qualification, and have experience of promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children.

You will thrive at creating an engaging, fun, and safe environment for the children. You will set up and tidy away planned activities, provide developmental updates to parents and work closely with your key children to ensure their learning and development is progressing.

Requirements

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Hold a childcare qualification - Level 2 or above
  • Additional training courses such as Safeguarding, First Aid and Food Hygiene is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to utilise EYFS knowledge to aid children's development
  • Continuously promoting children's safety and wellbeing
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
