We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working Childcare Practitioner to join our nursery team based at Chestnut Nursery School Sue Bramley.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, following a shift pattern. Sue Bramley is open between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00.
The successful applicant will need to have understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and have a strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning. As a Childcare Practitioner, you are a key member of the nursery team, working closely with the families who access the nursery and delivering high quality care and learning opportunities.
Key Duties
- Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS.
- Promoting and supporting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
- Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy.
- Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Flexible in working hours if required.
- Support daily routines.
- Follow policies and procedures.
- Light cleaning duties.
- Maintain a high level of supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Position RequirementsRequired
- DBS will be undertaken.
- Child-centred approach to play and learning.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS).
- Excellent organisation skills and time-management.
- Knowledge & understanding of safeguarding (training provided).
- Must hold a Level 3 early years qualification
