JOB TITLE:            Childcare Solicitor - Locum
PQE REQUIRED:    3+ years
LOCATION:            Remote
HOURLY RATE:      £30 -£40 per hour
THE ROLE:
Are you a skilled solicitor with expertise in childcare law? Are you passionate about advocating for the rights and welfare of children? Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Childcare Locum Solicitor to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis whilst they recruit for a permanent member, as Head of the Department. The firm is seeking a locum to act as Supervisor under the Legal Aid contract. Your caseload will see you taking cases to court and tribunals, including contested hearings in the family court. You will advise social services, families and young people, as well as departments across the organisation to ensure your client's best interests are served. The firm is based in the West Midlands; however, this role can be fulfilled remotely.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate must be resilient, hardworking, and passionate about this area of law. The appointed Locum will have gained at least 3 years’ + experience in this area of law, and you will have experience within private practice. You will be joining at a busy time you must be able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to a busy workload. The firm is expecting the appointed candidate to have a children panel membership in order to meet the requirements of Supervisor under the Legal Aid contract. You will have excellent communication skills and offer quality service to clients. As an experienced locum you must be able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to a busy workload.
