The team is county wide although the job role is based within the Boston and South Holland area of the county. The team ethos is supportive and caring with a strong restorative focus.

We are seeking to recruit motivated practitioners with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of our integrated children’s health service. The Children and Young People's Nurses work within Lincolnshire County Council very closely with Children's Services (children’s centres, early help and social care) and other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our care. Because we work alongside our Children’s Services colleagues, we are able to provide a comprehensive package of care to ensure that our children are able to achieve their full potential.
We are seeking practitioners who thrive upon innovation and are not averse to change. It is essential that you are a keen public health advocate who is passionate to provide a public health model to our school age Children and their families.
You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries.
We can offer you opportunities for personal and professional development. The Children's Heath team has a strong champion role structure which helps support the service and development of staff by encouraging involvement of Children and Young People's Nurses in their area of interest.
In Children’s Health we support new areas of practice such development of the support and advice within education on the key target areas. At Lincolnshire County Council we strongly believe in supporting our Children and Young People's Nurses and provide regular clinical and safeguarding supervision. We also pay NMC annual fees.
For newly qualified practitioners, we have a preceptorship programme in place to aid your development.
