SalaryWe are currently recruiting for childrens Support Workers for residential services based across various birmingham city. You will be based at residential homes which hold a maximum of 5 children, providing support at times of crisis or significant periods of changes in their lives. The children have learning disabilities and a range of challenging behaviours.
Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their every day lives when needed.
You will need to be flexible with shifts.
Shift patterns are:
21:30 – 07:30
07:00 - 14:30
14:00 - 22:00
07:00 - 22:00

Location: Birmingham
Hourly Rate: £13.75per hour
Contract: Full time/Part time
Start Date: On completion of recruitment process
Your duties as a Support Worker:
Eating out
Dropping young people to school
Visit to local parks
Encourage new skill development
Activities (bowling, cinema, swimming)
Empowering residents to be as independent as possible
Listening to music
Attending appointments
Personal care support
Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (this may include - but not be limited to - finances, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc)

Applicant requirements:
A minimum of 6 months UK children experience
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce(Essential)
Able to work in the UK and can show documents
Full enhanced DBS
