Children's Play Worker

The Employer is: WINDSOR WOMENS CENTRE.Children’s Play Worker:The successful candidate will assist Windsor Women’s Centre in achieving the aims of the Centre Programme. The Children’s Play Worker will be responsible for aiding and implementing a stimulating and varied programme of activities for children, within a group setting and on an individual level and will carry out any other reasonable duties, which will enhance the quality of life of children within a specific area of South Belfast.Further training opportunities available..

Experience of working in a Childcare.

A genuine interest, motivation and enjoyment around working with children.

NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or working towards.

First Aid certificate.

Child Protection Training.

An understanding of childrens development and their physical, social, educational and emotional needs.

A good level of understanding of the rights of children.

An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

An ability to communicate effectively with young children.

An ability to liaise with parents and to understand the importance of parental involvement.

Willingness to undertake flexible working patterns/rotas and to work unsocial hours when required.
