Children's Residential Care Worker

Phoenix Adolescent Care is looking to recruit Residential Care Workers to join our team; as a new provision we are looking to build a team of skilled staff.

The responsibilities of the role include:

- Providing 1:1 support to the young people in the home

- Completing paperwork, risk assessments and care plans for the young people. Undertaking key work sessions with the young people.

- Attending meetings; having good communications with other professionals.

- Attending training to support with the role.

- Experience in the child care sector; or relevant sector whereby skills are transferable to this job role.

- Experience and understanding of safeguarding; legislation, frameworks and guidance relevant to the child care sector.

- A willingness to learn and adapt your approach to the needs of the young people we care for.

- An enthusiastic approach, and passion for achieving positive outcomes for young people in the care sector.

Experience in this sector is required; either voluntary or experience working in a Residential Care home previously or in a supportive role.

- Level 3 certificate would be preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.50-£14.00 per hour

• with children: 2 years (required)
• Residential Childcare: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
• Driving Licence (required)
