Children's Residential Support Worker Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? Do you have experience of providing high-quality care and support in a residential setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at our brand-new home in Workington. You will be part of a dedicated and professional team that strives to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children and young people in our care.
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting children and young people with their daily routines, such as personal care, education, leisure and social activities
- Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people, as well as their families and other professionals
- Promoting children and young people's physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, and safeguarding them from harm
- Working in accordance with the home's policies and procedures, as well as the relevant legislation and regulations
- Participating in regular training and supervision, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the service
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 1 year of experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting
- A flexible and adaptable approach, and the ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
- A positive and compassionate attitude, and a commitment to the values and ethos of the home
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car
