- Ability to provide high standards of care for all service users, promoting best practice in achieving agreed goals and ambitions set out by the home.
- Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, self-motivated and adaptable in working to a high standard and contributing to a dynamic, developing service.
- Ability to provide emotional warmth, resilience, and can build positive, trusting and empathetic relationships with young people and their families.
- Ability to advocate for young people and equally represent the home and organisation professionally to high standards.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, including excellent IT skills to be able to compile and maintain children and young people's records, participating in all aspects of administration.
- Ability to motivate young people emotionally and physically, participating in recreational activities.
- The role requires an individual to be flexible; available to cover shifts including evenings, nights weekends and school and public holidays.
