Children’s Safeguarding Social Worker              

Work life balance is something that holds vital importance in everyone’s life… whether we prioritise it all the time or not is a different thing. You probably find yourself working many extra hours in your role as a Social Worker – and in many respects its unavoidable sometimes due to the nature of the work – however giving yourself the best possible chance of maintaining that all important ‘me’ time is something we should all be doing.

We are currently working with a local authority in the south east(commutable from the likes of Berkshire, Surrey and much of the south coast) that realises the importance of looking after their staff; and yes, that even means their agency Social Workers too.

Due to the structure of the team, and a focus on quality of casework, they are currently open to discussion with those that need a bit more time in their personal life, and cant necessarily manage a 5 day working week (be it commitments family, friends, pets or otherwise!).

The teams in most need are the safeguarding (front door and child protection) teams, however there is also space within children in care for those that can bring knowledge and experience to the table.

As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.
