We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Childrens Support Worker/Health Care Assistant. In this role, you will provide direct care and support to children with various healthcare needs, ensuring their well-being and promoting their development.
As a Childrens Support Worker/Health Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting children with their daily activities, including personal care, meals, and recreational activities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individual care plans, monitor children's progress, and provide emotional support to both children and their families.
Responsibilities
Assist children with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support children in activities of daily living, including meal preparation and feeding.
Create a safe and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Administer medication as prescribed, following appropriate protocols and documentation procedures.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each child.
Monitor and record observations of children's behavior, health, and progress.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to children and their families.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a healthcare or support setting.
Knowledge of child development and common healthcare conditions in children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
Hours Per Week:
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 20:00
Pay Per Hour: £13.00
Location: Buttons, Wadhurst
