Job description

Main Activities:
 

  • Review, analyze, and validate input data from various disciplines to ensure consistency within the scope of responsibility, focusing on specific civil batches or buildings.
  • Generate deliverables pertinent to their assigned responsibilities, including design hypotheses, methodology and assumption notes, technical specifications, and calculation notes.
  • Coordinate the activities of CAD Designers to ensure seamless collaboration and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct technical verifications of civil engineering design documents, models, and drawings. Facilitate communication with external entities (client organization) to incorporate comments and ensure consensus on final content.
  • Contribute to the management of design configurations, including the preparation of design changes, participation in design change committees, and utilization of management tools for open points and margins as required. Additionally, support load management processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with Civil Designers, providing timely inputs, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist in conducting CDM reviews and maintain the Design Risk Register to manage design-related risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with on-site engineering teams to facilitate construction activities and ensure alignment with design specifications.
  • Engage with subject matter experts to address specialized technical requirements.

  • Client civil contracts team, focusing on contractual matters with Civil Designers
  • Other members of the civil group within the organization
  • Other relevant members of corresponding building teams (HVAC, Electrical, Piping, Layout, plant integration, configuration managers, Building Manager, etc.)
  • Joint Design Office
  • Client organization stakeholders (PWRT, Civil DMT, Civil Program)

Location:
The role is based at the client's UK offices in Bristol, with a minimum requirement of 3 days per week onsite and the option for 2 days remote work per week.
