Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary Water consultancy on a long-term contract or permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to work on some brilliant Water and Civils projects in either Exeter, Bradford, Leeds, or Birmingham.

Specialising in providing a wide range of Asset Management, Engineering, Commercial and Strategic Advisory services across the UK, our client operates in a variety of sectors, including Water, Energy and Environmental. They are searching for a driven Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team of specialists.
Key responsibilities:
- Apply your expertise and experience, either in independent work or while overseeing a team.
- Engage in technical design and analysis for both new construction and existing steel, as well as reinforced above and below-ground concrete civil structures.
- Utilise appropriate structural analysis and design tools, adhering to local and national guidelines.
- Foster collaborations and build relationships with individuals at all organisational levels to facilitate the seamless delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
- Take the lead in implementing high-quality standards, prioritising sustainability and safety throughout the design and asset lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of briefs, scopes of work, and contribute valuable insights to bid proposals.
- Efficiently manage time and budgets, ensuring alignment with project milestones and schedules.
- Play a role in the personal and professional growth of oneself and fellow team members, actively contributing to overall development.
Key requirements:
- In-depth familiarity with structural engineering codes, including Eurocodes and BSI standards.
- Extensive hands-on experience in reinforced concrete design and detailing, encompassing water-retaining structures, soil-retaining structures, and foundation design.
- Proficient in steelwork design.
- Adept understanding of geotechnics and soil-structure interactions.
- Advantageous experience in the water/utilities sector.
- Capability to prepare, assess, and approve structural designs.
- Proficiency in computational analysis techniques and software, with additional knowledge of BIM as a bonus.
- Skillful in inspecting, diagnosing, and providing recommendations for the re-use or adaptation of existing structures.
- Familiarity with both established and emerging construction techniques.
- Proven track record of dedication to sustainability practices, including re-use of existing structures and materials, and designing for low-carbon construction.
- Ability to actively contribute to project and business management, including resource planning and fee estimation.
- Understanding of cost and contract management is considered an advantage.
