Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer required!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a seasoned Civil Engineer to join a leading, Engineering and Design Consultancy on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis, attending either the Winchester or Southampton office to be part of an experienced Civil Engineering team to collaborate on Water and Drainage projects.

You will have the chance to play a key role in the Consultancy's goal to grow across the South Coast region. Our client is looking to expand their dynamic team due to the growing demand for their high-quality services including, Flood risk and Drainage strategies, Road designs, Utilities and Shaping masterplans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial knowledge such as fee proposals and monitoring
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications
• Contribute to the development of junior staff
• Able to write high quality reports and specifications
• Plan and design water-related projects, including water supply systems, drainage networks, and wastewater treatment facilities
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulatory standards and environmental regulations
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals
• Conduct site visits and inspections
• Perform hydraulic modelling for water distribution and drainage systems
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of design documents
• Review and approve Engineering drawings and calculations

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards
• Proven experience in Civil Engineering with a focus on water-related projects
• Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of water treatment processes and stormwater management
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards
• Able to work as part of a team and independently
