Civil / Structural Engineer

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Manager, you will:
* Bolster and enhance the team's design, project management, and consultancy capability.
* Work on varied and interesting projects involving both office-based activities and occasional site-based working.
* Enjoy a variety of tasks including site investigations, project development, and providing technical support during construction.
* Undertake structural appraisals and assist with plant modifications or major repairs.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
* Demonstrable experience in Civil/Structural Engineering with a broad design background in steel and reinforced concrete structures.
* Proven experience in developing projects from concept through to detailed design stage.
* Ability to produce technical specifications and scope of work documents.
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify design improvements at all project stages.
* Project management experience and the ability to manage others both internally and external consultants.
Personal skills
The Civil/Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is:
* Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
* A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in design software such as TEDDS, Trimble Structural, STAAD Pro, or similar design packages.
* Holds a full Driving License and is willing to travel to customer sites throughout the UK.
