Civil Technician

Blueprint recruitment is working with a leading Engineering and Transport Planning Consultancy, who are looking for an experienced Civil Technician to join them on a permanent basis, in Fareham.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Civil Engineering projects through the preparation of detailed drawings, plans and technical documentation.

Our client works in a broad range of sectors, including, Residential, Infrastructure, Commercial and Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Civil Engineering drawings using CAD software
• Translate design concepts into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings
• Assist in the production of plans, profiles, and cross-sections for Civil Engineering projects
• Collaborate with Engineers to incorporate design changes and modifications
• Maintain organised records of project drawings and documentation
• Coordinate with project managers to update and revise drawings as needed
• Work closely with Engineers, Surveyors, and other team members
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support
• Conduct reviews of drawings to ensure compliance with design standards and specifications
• Maintain and develop positive client relations
• Attend client and project meetings when necessary

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field
• Proven experience as a Civil Technician
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Site 3D)
• Understanding of Civil Engineering principles and construction methods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes
