Job description

Linsco are currently recruiting for a Site Agent to start work on a new build housing site in Seaham. This would be for an ongoing position for the right candidate.

You will be required to manage and coordinate civil works on a new build housing site, including the completion of foundations and associated infrastructure. As a key member of the site management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that civil works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Qualifications to hold: CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise civil works activities on the new build housing site, including the construction of foundations, drainage systems, roads, and utilities.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure that civil works meet specified standards and requirements.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, updates, and documentation to project stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Collaborate with other members of the site management team to coordinate work flow and ensure the timely completion of civil works.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role, with a background in civil engineering or construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of civil works processes, techniques, and materials, particularly in the context of residential developments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, and health and safety.
