Position Overview: As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of road upgrade projects in the Birmingham area. You will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of site operations, including planning, organising, and coordinating resources to meet project objectives.
- Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Monitor progress against schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing any deviations or risks promptly.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to uphold standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
- Liaise with client representatives, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required, maintaining positive relationships and resolving any issues proactively.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports, documentation, and records in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques relevant to civil engineering.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Sound understanding of health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
