Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy known for its expertise in the built environment. With over 150 years of experience; they have a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across various sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, and construction.
They are seeking a skilled Civils Technician to join the dynamic team in their Bury St Edmunds office on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and drafting of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage systems, and utilities;
- Prepare detailed drawings, diagrams, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software;
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule;
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for project planning and design;
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including reviewing drawings and resolving technical issues;
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to civil engineering.
Requirements:
- HNC in Civil Engineering preferred;
- A minimum of 2 years Industry Experience;
- A working knowledge of Building Regulations and General Construction and Engineering Detailing;
- Highways and drainage detailing to local authority standards, S38, S278, S104 etc;
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD;
- Experience in REVIT would be an advantage but not essential;
- Experience in Civil 3D would be a significant advantage.
