A Cladding Draughtsman is required in a well-established Facade company based in Dorset
Responsibilities:
- Complying with all relevant Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Preparing cladding layout drawings and flashing and gutter details.
- Liaising within house designers, steelwork draughtsperson, bid managers and construction team as well as external design team meetings with architects, engineers and clients.
- Assisting with site surveys when required.
- Creating flashing, gutter and fabrication drawings.
- Preparing lists for manufacturing, purchase and despatch.
- Issuing and monitoring Requests for Information (RFIs) and responding to site queries.
- Creating detailed parts and fixings inventories of all cladding elements.
- Attending launch and project meetings.
- Advising bid managers of any extras or variations as the project progresses.
- Liaising with Works Manager, Production Manager and factory team regarding drawing issues and queries.
- To note: The above list covers the primary responsibilities of the Cladding Draughtsperson. Additional duties not mentioned here may also be required as part of the role.
Qualifications:
- Previous cladding detailing experience in a similar industry.
- AutoCAD LT, Tekla Structures or similar software.
- Attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Commercially-aware.
- Organized and methodical.
- Able to work under own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
Other Details and Package:
- Working schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM (Lunch hours: 1PM-2PM)
- Salary: £30,000 and £35,000 (depending on experience) and free parking
- Location: Dorset
