Salary A Lloyd's Broker located in the heart of the City of London have a new opportunity for a Claims & Premium Technician. This will include processing a mix of Accident & Health and US Casualty claims. Although predominantly covering Claims and Technical, there is the potential to assist with Broker Support.
This role would suit a second jobber with some prior claims experience. Knowledge of ECF will be advantageous.
Key Tasks
Claims:
Preparation and submission of claims bordereaux and individual claims into Lloyd's (via ECF) and Company markets.
Maintaining electronic claims files.
Preparing payment requests including clients/TPA's/Adjusters.
Loss Fund submission and management.
Production & management of claims statistics and information including individual Risk/Client statistics.
Liaising with Underwriters where necessary with occasional face to face broking. Liaison with Third Party Claims Handlers, Adjusters and Coverholders.
Technical Processing:
Production, processing and distribution of risk and Premium bordereaux.
Monitoring aggregate, premium income, and other limits.
Preparation of Premium Advice Notes (LPANs), closings and closing endorsements.
Premium submissions via Xchanging.
Dealing with payment requests (e.g., audit fees).
Maintaining systems, including statistics and tracking workflow.
Maintaining Technical files (mainly electronic).
Generating reports, statistical reporting and reconciliations. .
Preparation of endorsements for mid-term changes to placements.
