I am currently recruiting for a leading reinsurer who are seeking a Claims Specialist to join their Life & Health team.
My client is looking for Claims Professional in the Life/Health space who has experience assessing Life, Income Protection and Critical Illness Claims. This role will be reinsurance focused but they are happy to look at someone who doesn't have a reinsurance background. The ideal candidate will have both individual and group experience too.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate claims across various product lines such as Life, Critical Illness, and Disability according to company standards.
- Make accurate decisions on claims, including verifying their validity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to reinsurance clients.
- Aid clients in creating return to work plans for disabled claimants.
- Stay informed on current claims trends through research.
- Contribute to the audit program by providing reports and suggestions.
- Offer claims expertise for reinsurance business decisions when necessary, such as during the quote process or when discussing changes in philosophy or best practices.
- Attend seminars, events, and training sessions externally as needed.
