Position:Class 1 Driver
Additional Role Details:
As a Class 1 Driver at Driver Hire Grimsby and Scunthorpe, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with wide range of cargo: Transport a wide range of goods, including palletised cargo, refrigerated loads and containers.
- Operate Modern Vehicles: Drive well-maintained, modern vehicles.
- Work with a Supportive Team: Work closely with our committed team and to ensure a satisfactory working experience.
- Ensure Safety: Play a vital role in maintaining road safety and the reputation of our company through responsible driving.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1(Cat C+E) HGV driving license.
- 1 years of proven experience as a Class 1 LGV driver.
- No more than 6 points for minor traffic offences (No DR or IN endorsements)
- The right to live and work in the UK
Type: Temporary
Rate: From £14.35 per hour
Benefits: Holiday pay accrued according to hours worked.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring timely delivery of goods to specified locations.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and report any maintenance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers and their team members.
- Complete all required paperwork, such as logs and delivery confirmations.
- Load and unload goods when necessary, ensuring the they are delivered correctly.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) HGV driving license.
- 1 years of proven experience as a Class 1 driver.
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
