Class 1 Driver

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to work for our client based in Grimsby. You will be required to deliver and collect a containers from the docks. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting containers to and from various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of cargo.

What days will I be working?

We have various shifts available, covering days and nights.

How much will I be paid?

Monday to Friday (AM) - £14:00ph
Monday to Friday (PM) - £15:00ph
Saturday - £16:00ph
Sunday - £17:00ph

What will I be required to do?

• Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws.
• Transport containers to assigned destinations using the most effective routes.
• Perform pre-trip, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories.
• Ensure cargo is secure and compliant with safety standards.
• Maintain communication with the dispatch team to report any issues or delays.
• Assist in loading and unloading containers as needed.

What skills and experience do I require?

• Valid Class 1 Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and truck maintenance.
• Familiarity with the use of GPS devices and electronic devices.
