SalaryStaffCo Direct is actively recruiting for Class 1 drivers ( tramping ) for a company based in Lutterworth.
We are looking for highly motivated qualified drivers with a valid licenses, who can take on the company’s ethos and assist us in the support of our client’s day-to-day operation AM Start times around 06:00am start Mondays and come back on Friday.
Remuneration:
Monday to Friday - £20.54
*Please note that the above rates are umbrella assignment rates*
Responsibilities:
- This will involve delivering curtain side or box trailers nationwide.
- All work is trunking and shifts are planned to be 12 hours (some of this time may be on standby at the yard)
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Start times are 06:00 daily with work across weekends if required.
- Flexible about tramping as this is a huge requirement from the client.
Experience/Skills & Competencies:
- HGV1/ LGV1 UK-issued License is required (Must have license for at least 12 months)
- Current and Valid CPC and Digi Tacho
- No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes)
- Experience driving container loaded trailers
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
- Great communication skills
- Professional attitude
