We are currently looking for reliable and quality Class 2 HGV drivers to help our customers keep their fleets moving. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the area’s quality companies, and can in some situations lead to good  long-term work.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload goods onto the lorry using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries while maximising fuel efficiency.
• Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good, safe working order and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered.
• Communicate effectively with planners, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

• Valid Cat C (Class 2) driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• At least 2 years Cat C driving experience
• Knowledge of road safety laws as well as driving and working hour restrictions.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
