Unique School Solutions are working with a partner Specialist School in Rotherham (S60) to recruit a Classroom Support Assistant to work in their engaging and welcoming primary school supporting students aged 4 to 10 years with SEND needs access learning.

This is a full-time, term time only position to start in September 2024. Initially, this role will be temporary for a period of 12 weeks but made permanent following the successful completion of this probation.

The hours for this role are 9.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday term time only.

Successful candidates are expected to be passionate about making a difference to children and will be working closely with class teachers and other school staff. They will provide a high quality of support and communication with their students and be able to work in small groups.

This position is working within a specialist school for children with SEND and physical disabilities on a 1:1 and small group basis to support students to access learning. This role may require providing personal care, full training will be provided on site.

Experience in ADHD, Autism, and supporting people with complex needs is advantageous.

About the role:

• Supporting teaching and learning following the school’s curriculum.
• To work in partnership with class teacher to ensure the very best standard of education is delivered to the children.
• To support children with learning on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• To liaise with external agencies and parent/carers when required.
• To be part of the wider school community when required.
