YouSeq is a fast-growing biotechnology start-up. We make molecular testing kits that are used in hospitals and labs around the world to help fight COVID19, cancer and other diseases.
We are looking for an experienced operational scientist to help support our rapid growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in the business, supporting our existing internal team in our Clean Laboratory.
The ideal candidate will have proven knowledge of real-time qPCR and molecular diagnostics. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and thrive by supporting others. They will have professional experience and appreciate the benefits that a well-structured ISO13485 quality management system can bring.
The role:
· Support and lead production lines manufacture, including directly supporting the clean lab lead
· Professional development of, and role model for, team members
· Lab based role (95% of time)
· Manufacture all clean lab reagent and support QC
Essential experience/qualifications:
· Experience working in an ISO regulated environment (minimum 4 years)
· Direct line management
· Outstanding interpersonal skills
Desirable experience:
· Comprehensive and proven knowledge of PCR
· Working knowledge of automation tools
