Job Title: Cleaner Driver

Location: Bath

Pay Rate: £12.30

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 06:30 - 18:30 - 44 hours per week (4 days on, 4 days off on rotation)

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Cleaner Driver to support our client’s site in Bath

At OCS, our cleaners play an important part in providing safe, clean environments in which our customers can thrive in their workspaces. 

You will be carrying out a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying bins and cleaning washrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the team in ensuring that the site is maintained to the agreed KPI standards with a safe and clean environment paramount. To assure that the company standards and policies are followed and maintained.

Customer Service

  • Maintain polite and good communication with your colleagues, retailers, and shoppers always.
  • To be enthusiastic, helpful, courteous, and inspired by the Southgate customer charter always and to attend staff meetings when requested by Management.

Cleaning

  • Maintain the cleanliness of toilets throughout the night, ensuring that they are always clean, floors are clear of any spillages, mirrors and sinks wiped and consumables are always topped up.
  • Ensure that wet floor signs are put out on entrances during wet weather.
  • To Ensure the site is of a fit for trade standards before 0900hrs and all reactive tasks are closed in a timely fashion following the Manager safe to trade audit
  • Machines clean all entrance pavements daily and pressure wash on a scheduled basis or as required by management
  • Dry down the entrance benches after rainfall throughout the day and ensure their cleanliness.
  • The vacuuming and steam cleaning of all entrance mats where required
  • Empty and wipe down all bins including cigarette bins
  • Clean Management Suites on both sites including conference, training rooms, staff rest rooms including toilet & shower facilities.
  • Clean entrance paving to include flower beds, bird mess, chewing gum, cigarette ends, spillages, litter and debris clearing.
  • Wash or wipe where necessary all walls, pillars, and painted surfaces up to 2 meters or wipe where necessary all furniture, fixtures, signage, and fittings both FOH & BOH including HVM bollards and planters
  • Respond to reactive spillages on Southgate site in a timely manner
  • Cleaning of canopies and louvers 
  • Wipe down all glass doors and panels
  • Clean and jet wash car park entrance and exit areas and access ramps to all levels
  • To ensure the car park is of a fit for trade standard
  • Wash or wipe where necessary all walls, pillars and painted surfaces up to 2 metres
  • Wash or wipe where necessary all fixtures and fittings including pay on foot machines
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that the equipment is cleaned and returned to storage in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Including maintaining Hako machine, carrying out pre-user checks and end of day shutdown tasks on machine.
  • Using towable pressure washers and driving company vehicles to ensure any external and internal areas are cleaned to standard.
  • Wipe down and re-stock cleaning trolleys and equipment
  • Car Park Flooring – to include birds mess, chewing gum, cigarette ends, spillages, litter and debris clearing
  • To ensure all work is carried out in a safe, proper and thorough manner considering Health and safety legislation, Incentive FM policies and procedures, risk assessments and method statements
  • Ensure car park cages are clean and secure (inside and out).
  • Ensure all car park signage is clean and in good state of repair.
  • Weed removal where required
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information
  • Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
  • Always keep your cleaning area and space clean and tidy and your cleaning materials safely stored
  • Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job
  • To be enthusiastic, helpful, courteous and inspired by the Southgate customer charter always
  • Maintain polite and good communication with you colleagues, retailers and shoppers always
  • Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required
  • At all times to follow through any managerial instructions

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Full clean Driving Licence essential (category B)  
  • Experience in working and building partnerships with clients
  • IOSH trained desirable
  • Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
  • Experience working within a fast-moving cleaning environment
  • Is articulate and can communicate effectively with the clients and the IFM teams
