Job Description
The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland's national awarding and accreditation body. We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world.
We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to work within the Facilities team at our Lowden site in Dalkeith.
The successful candidate will be required to supervise and undertake cleaning of SQA premises ensuring that high standards are maintained. In order to do this, you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following specific duties:
Work as an integral member of the Cleaning Team and support the effective delivery of Core and adhoc cleaning
Organise Team Members to deliver a safe service effectively to a high standard and monitor performance including performance feedback
Ensure that effective communication is given to the staff on their routes, scope and expectations in each area every week
Train new Team Members to learn procedures and all general tasks
Ensure cleaning standards and safety procedures are adhered to
Champion excellent cleaning standards at all time
Ensure all cleaning staff are knowledgeable of the chemicals they use and the expectation from them of the cleaning standards.
Ensure all stock levels are monitored and kept up to date.
Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role is desirable
Must have knowledge of COSHH, manual handling and stocktaking
Basic computer skills are essential
This is a 30hr per week role. Monday - Thursday 3pm - 9pm, Friday 2pm - 8pm
