Job description

The Talentum Learning Trust, consisting of nine schools including Churnet View Middle School, Leek High School and Westwood College, is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Leek High School is a well-established 13-19 secondary school and is currently on a journey of growth and development.


Position: Clerical Assistant


Start Date: As soon as possible


Contract Type: Fixed term, with a view to becoming permanent


Hours: 37 hours per week, term time hours inc Inset days


Pay: Grade 1, SCP 2, 45.28 pay weeks: Full time equivalent salary:
£22,366, pro rata: £19,422, £11.59 p/h.


Allowance: n/a


Location: Leek High School; however, you may on occasions be required to
cover duties at other schools across the Trust


Line Manager: School Business Manager


We are recruiting for a Clerical Assistant to join our team at Leek High School, the ideal candidate will:
 have administrative experience in a school, though training will be provided;
 have excellent communication skills;
 be motivated and self-driven;
 have high levels of accuracy and an eye for detail;
 be able to follow instructions;
 be flexible and adaptable;
 have high expectations of themselves and their team;
 be a team player.


Duties will include providing a warm welcome in reception, handling telephone and email enquiries, assisting with targets relating to attendance, maintaining pupil data systems and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be used to working in a busy environment and working under pressure and you’ll be able to adapt positively to the challenges and demands of a busy school.
