Are you interested in starting an administration career in healthcare by joining an innovative and expanding radiology department?
New Cross Radiology is a thriving, integral service. As a Clerical Officer you will be the welcoming face to greet our patients as they start their Radiology journey.
The role will include reception/clerical/administration duties as well as the booking of appointments.
Our department is going through an exciting period of positive change, and we are committed to growing our workforce to meet the expanding demands of the service.
This role will be based across both New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital sites and the hours required will be 07.00 - 20.00 (12.5h days)
To undertake a full range of reception/clerical/administrative responsibilities in relation to Radiology appointments using the Radiology Information System and the Trust Patient Administration System.
To provide reception services on a rotational basis within the Radiology Departments.
Good communications skills are essential as the post holder will need to liaise directly with patients, consultants and other hospital staff.
Ensure that patient confidentiality is observed at all times.
To provide an efficient, welcoming and helpful reception service for patients attending the department.
Demonstrate an efficient and pleasant telephone manner when dealing with patients, staff and clinician enquiries. Take accurate details and recording the information within the patient record on Soliton.
Monitor, schedule and amend patient appointments using the Radiology Information System (Soliton) following the guidelines provided and adhering to the Trust’s Patient Access Policy. Appointments to be made for both New Cross and Cannock Chase Hospitals.
