SalaryApplications are invited for the role of Clerk of Works based within the Building Design Unit of Place Services to provide a site inspectorate service relating to construction projects.
Applicants must hold an appropriate construction industry related HNC, or equivalent, with relevant experience and be mobile throughout the Council area. Membership of the Clerk of Works Institute would be a distinct advantage. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel software would be a distinct advantage.
Reporting directly to the Senior Clerk of Works you will be involved in the site supervision of projects of various sizes, and must be able to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative. The workload will be varied across a range of projects from refurbishment to possible new build of the Councils non-housing property estate.
