JOB TITLE: CLERK OF WORKS/NEC SUPERVISOR
SALARY: GRADE 8 (£36,648 - £42,403)
HRS/WEEK: 37 HRS
WEEKS/YEAR: 52 WEEKS
CONTRACT: PERMANENT

We are delivering a multi-year programme of major capital construction projects and planned capital maintenance projects ranging from new builds and refurbishments through to green infrastructure, community facilities and energy installations. Our work spans sectors such as education, business, waste/recycling and energy.

As a result of recent staff progression, we now have an opportunity

for an experienced and enthusiastic Clerk of Works/NEC Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play an integral part in the management and delivery of projects to the highest professional standards from initial design stages through to completion of construction and seamless handover to the client. Candidates must have a clear focus on successful delivery, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and ensuring that projects align and support the Authority’s Climate Emergency agenda with a view to projects achieving Net Zero Carbon.

Candidates must possess significant experience in carrying out traditional Clerk of Works duties with projects procured traditionally under the JCT Forms of Contract, and must have the necessary experience in NEC Supervisor expertise when major capital projects are procured under a two stage procurement processes utilising the NEC Form of Contract.

In addition to working within the Property Construction team, there

will be opportunities to support the work of the Property Management Group, which is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Authority’s commercial portfolio and operational assets including dealing with reactive maintenance.
