Client Service Manager

  

Location: Radlett and areas within Hertfordshire (Hospital Discharge Service)

Permanent Contract, Full time (37.5hpw)

Salary £26,000 circa depending on skills and experience and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

On call shift payment of £14.30 per session

Join us as our Client Services Manager and lead our Hertfordshire Hospital Discharge Service team to deliver person centred support, breaking down those barriers to a successful discharge from hospital and make it a Great Place To Work for our colleagues!

As the manager on the ground, you’ll manage our service, which supports customers who are based on the ward but are experiencing barriers to a successful discharge back home and into the community. We offer support to people within the wards who are ready to be discharged home, following an admission into a mental health unit within our contracted hospitals in Hertfordshire. Sadly, some people experience barriers to a successful discharge, those barriers could be support needed with accommodation, or presenting as homeless, support around applying for the relevant benefits or financial guidance, to maybe we have a customer who has some anxiety around going home, our job is to make that transition home a little easier.

Typical day as a Client Service Manager   

  • Supporting the senior client service manager in leading our team of 6 coordinators, you’ll help us deliver our person centred, efficient, quality support to our customers aligned to our contracts.
  • You’ll take lead responsibility for line managing the support coordinators to be the best they can be.
  • You’ll be expected to contact our customers who have returned home but may be experiencing a decline to their mental health. Ensuring referrals to the correct community team are then made.
  • You’ll promote the service, ensuring that it’s visible and promote our brand across the wards.
  • You’ll take lead responsibility for maintaining and updating of Home Group and NHS systems, ensuring the quality of the service is evidenced by KPI’s.
  • As a client Service manager, you will have responsibility of our Home Achievements Programme, Home Groups Tenancy Accreditation Programme The HAP is an affordable tenancy training course giving people specific help in acquiring new skills and tackling individual barriers to progression. It is designed to help customers, who find learning new skills and improving challenging lifestyles difficult.

You have   

  • Great people skills, ability to communicate and understand where people are in their life.
  • The confidence to challenge behaviours that are not aligned to our values, and the ability to advocate for your customers. 
  • Excellent technical skills, with experience on Home Group systems and NHS systems desirable
  • Experience of line managing a team and achieving KPI’s
  • Experience of delivering support in a housing and care environment  
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to “think outside of the box”, using own initiative in sometimes challenging situations.
  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!

You’ll join our Senior Client Service Manager, Megan Miller. Megan has been with us for just over a year now, starting her career with Home Group. When Megan is not at work, she has 4 children to keep her busy!

Job details   

  • This is a Monday to Friday 9-5 role with the occasional weekend work required. This will be based on a rota system.
  • You’ll manage your own diary according to your team and customer needs, and although its service based you can work from home when you need to focus on something.  
  • You’re able to use technology, we have lots of digital systems and use Microsoft Teams.  
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
