Client-Side Commercial Asset Manager Six Month Contract

Your new company
Exciting opportunity to join a FTSE 250 business to manage their commercial property portfolio. You will be joining an organisation which having gone through a period of rapid growth, have acquired a number of businesses and therefore have substantially increased the quantity of properties within their portfolio. Due to the number of business acquisitions, the organisation is therefore seeking an Asset Manager to analyse the commerciality of the portfolio and provide strategic advice. Based from the head office in Brentwood, you will split your time between the office, visiting the properties within the portfolio and working from home.

Your new role
As the Asset Manager, you will provide reports and recommendations regarding the portfolio which will be shared and presented to stakeholders within the business. This will include assessing current lease/sublet agreements and highlighting key dates. This is also likely to include reviewing service charges in place across the group to ensure costs are fair and reasonable. You will oversee business rate reviews to maximise opportunities and identify any potential for empty rate relief. This role is initially a six month fixed term contract, though there may be opportunity to become a permanent role.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you should be an experienced General Practice Surveyor with previous experience gained working with commercial property portfolios, and in particular offices. Experience of lease renewals and rent reviews are essential. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. Please note a car allowance is provided in return.
