Job description

Part-time 22hrs per week  (salary pro-rata)

We have an exciting part time opportunity for the right candidate to join the Children in Care services as a Clinical Assessor Practitioner (sexually harmful behaviours).  The successful candidate will deliver consultation, assessment and intervention to children and young people up to age 18 (and care leavers) where harmful sexual behaviour has been identified. Through the provision of specialist knowledge in this area of practice they will contribute to safety planning and multi-agency decision making alongside our partners in education, health, youth offending and social care working directly with the children and families across Northamptonshire.

What will you be doing?Providing informed and accessible specialist assessments to support professionals, families and young people understand why behaviour has happened, what could lead to it happening again and what actions are likely to reduce the behaviour recurring


Supporting professional and family networks to safety plan, assess and manage risk within a highly sensitive and emotional area of practice with proportionate and containing responses
Undertake clinical responsibility for a caseload involving complex and high-risk clinical formulation and decision making, adhering to risk management, in line with Trust Policies and multi-agency partners across Northamptonshire as required.
Provide specialist assessment, formulation and interventions for highly vulnerable children and young people who have high clinical risk and other complex/multi agency needs.
Provide specialist consultation and advice to professionals working within a range of children’s services within Northamptonshire as required.
