We are looking for a Clinical Lead or Clinical Care Manager to work closely with the Home Manager, existing Care Manager and team at our St Georges Care Home in Cambridge.

Excelcare is a family-owned care home group established for over 34 years. We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues.

St George’s Court is a 76 bed home and is a light, modern care home located a couple of miles south of Cambridge city centre and just a few minutes’ walk from Cambridge Botanic Garden. We are very much part of our local community, with staff who live nearby in Comberton, Chesterton and Fulbourn, with a busy programme of events that sees regular visits from our neighbours, including local schools and community groups.

By joining us you will become one of the ‘family’ and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:

• Salary: Up to £58,300 per annum.
• 48 hours a week 8am – 8pm from Monday – Sunday (minus unpaid breaks). 24 hours would be on the floor and 24 hours supernumerary.

About the role:

The Clinical Care Manager role provides leadership and support on all issues relating to clinical excellence.

Coordinating and coaching teams to ensure that outstanding nursing and care services are provided, quality standards are continually improved, and clinical outcomes are recorded and measured is central to everything we do.

You’ll be passionate and committed to providing outstanding care and lead by example to demonstrate best practice resulting in nursing and care that is second to none and showing continual improvements. 

You’ll be involved in covering the management on call rota at weekends and evenings, distributed with other members of the Management Team.

What we are looking for from you:

• Registered Nurse – RGN, qualified with active PIN
• Experienced within a nursing or care home setting for older people.
• Extensive clinical knowledge
• Sound knowledge of CQC Regulations and legislation and what is expected to be prepared for CQC inspections.
• Excellent organisations and planning skills.
