`We are looking to recruit a Clinical Coder/ Administrator to join our friendly GP practice.

Job description:
The following are the core responsibilities of the clinical coder. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
Experience of EMIS WEB essential.
· Accurately read-coding data on EMIS into the patient record
· Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding appropriately and completing any detailed actions
· File and store records as required
· Photocopy documentation as required
· Action all incoming, emails and mail in a timely manner
· Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records
· Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
· Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
· Carry out system searches as requested
· Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
· Support all clinical staff and medical secretaries with general administrative tasks and referrals as requested
