Planning and Organisation Accountable for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects to agreed project governance structure, schedule, scope and budget. Define scope and deliverables that support organisational objectives in collaboration with the project team and stakeholders. Develop, implement and maintain project plans and activities including schedule development, targets, milestone and timelines, resource allocation, issue prioritisation, risk management, performance measurements and report progress. Manage all stakeholder relationships to influence, negotiate and agree project timelines and deliverables and make decisions within the scope of the project and in consultation with the appropriate stakeholders, on the best course of action when presented with choices. Ensure communications clearly define objectives, timescales, targets and milestones associated with the acquisition, procurement, loan and trial of medical devices to both internal and external stakeholders communicating any changes to situation or scope. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Identify and monitor risks and issues, detailing and implementing mitigating actions and escalating as appropriate. Facilitate regular status meetings with project team & participate in other project meetings as required to ensure key stakeholders are aligned with the direction and progress of the project(s). Manage project closure activities and facilitate and document lessons learned. Identify and implement learning from projects to continually improve the quality of service. Able to deal with frequent, sometimes lengthy interruptions on a daily basis. Financial Planning Manage the approved capital list to ensure medical devices procured are within budget limits allocated to the clinical area. Ensure full costs of the procurement projects such as purchase, service and maintenance contracts are identified, reviewed and signed-off prior to submission to the Capital Investment Group (CIG). Clinical, Technical and Scientific Provide expert guidance on the specification, selection and management of medical devices based on knowledge of engineering, asset management and the clinical application of technology. Provide scientific input to research and innovation projects based on knowledge of scientific principles and methods. Information Management & Reporting Ensure all projects are registered on the equipment and Project Management databases and records are accurate, current, complete and data integrity is maintained. Undertake data analyses to identify gaps in information and assess issues affecting project delivery and performance in relation to specific projects. Produce Risk and Issues registers and Highlight Reports. Prepare and provide timely and accurate reporting and engage in mechanisms that hold you, as Project Manager, to account for delivery including progress and RAID items (ie. risks, assumptions, issues & dependencies) and budget. Human Resource Responsibilities Provide support, guidance and coaching to the Business Support Team through leadership, task allocation, appraisal and recruitment showing commitment to their personal and professional development. Manage any individual staff performance related issues in accordance with Trust policy. Responsibilities for policy, quality and service development & implementation Liaise with colleagues within the Clinical Engineering Team as well as stakeholders to develop and implement systems, processes and procedures to support the efficient delivery of projects. Work within an established Quality Management system conforming to ISO 9001, ensuring adherence to procedures and participating in or undertaking audits of key procedures.
