Practice Development is a continuous process of developing person centred cultures. One year secondment opportunity
You must be a registered nurse with a passion for teaching underpinned by consistent strong values and be able to influence change through persistence, diplomacy and vision.
Clinical facilitators are required to provide clinical expertise, advice and support in order to ensure a consistent, effective approach to patient care, as well as, supporting, promoting, facilitating and actively encouraging innovative practice.
An essential aspect is the ability to work autonomously, demonstrate organisational skills, be approachable, communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
Clinical facilitators are required to work effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to Corporate Practice Development projects associated with National and Trust wide priorities and objectives. Inter-professional team working across divisions to support colleagues within the team may be required.

Within the role delivery of mandatory education and training, non-medical registered healthcare professional induction 2022, preceptorship and the development of study days and training sessions to meet gaps identified in clinical area educational frameworks via training needs analysis. In doing so, raise local awareness of clinical, educational and professional developments inside and outside the Trust, whilst acting as a role model at all times.
You will work as part of the Practice Development Team to facilitate training and education and to support practice and professional development for all relevant clinical staff, related to all aspects of care. This will be in accordance with Local and National guidelines, ensuring that staff are competent to deliver safe and effective care.
Collaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure staff are trained, educated and developed to their full potential in order to meet the demands of the service.
Provide clinical expertise, advice and support in order to ensure a consistent, effective approach to patient care.
Support, promote, facilitate and actively encourage innovative practice.
Demonstrate and role model expert clinical assessment, implementation and evaluation skills when supporting staff in providing individualised patient centred care.
Being mindful and have a raised awareness of Health and Wellbeing for self and other whilst supporting individuals within the Trust.
Maintaining own clinical credibility and continuing practice development.
Practice in accordance with the NMC (2018) The Code, Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates.
