  • An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker who can lead our busy multi-disciplinary team!

You will be a key role in liaising with other agencies and carers in planning and assessing programmes of care for clients, adopting a flexible, holistic approach to service users with a severe and enduring mental illness and provide expertise and leadership within Adult Social Services.

What you’ll be doing

You will be supporting staff, responsible for their supervision and ongoing development, reporting back to senior management on service deficits and where successes are met. You will be a promotor of effective working relationships within the multi-disciplinary team, and all relevant agencies with which the service works in collaboration, contributing and ensuring the smooth implementation of Social Services and national policies, in particular with regard to CPA and risk strategies, and in accordance with the National Service Framework and the NHS Plan.

What you’ll have

  • Recognised social work qualification CQSW CSS, Dip SW

  • Ability to work within a changing organisation.

  • Ability to work with staff and managers at all levels and provide supervision.

  • Ability to work and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to motivate self and others.

  • Ability to use IT packages, including Word and Excel.

  • The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
