Clinical Nurse Advisor

CNA required for new Stoma Care company in the Dublin/Leinster region.

Excellent opportunity to join an expanding company working Monday to Friday 9-5 to provide Stoma Care Nursing service within the Community to patients.

• QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE SPECIFIED FOR POST

Registration on the NMBI Register

• Qualified at Degree Level
• Relevant Post Registration Qualification e.g. ENB 216, ENB 980
• Stoma Care or Colorectal Experience
• 6 years post registration experience with relevant experience in Stoma Care nursing
• Show evidence of Personal Professional development
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Driving license (company car provided)

CORE COMPONENTS

• Comply with Nursing Board Code of Professional Conduct
• Provide optimum liaison and co-ordination of care for patients and carer between medical and nursing staff.
• Provide guidelines, support and reassurance to patients according to individual treatment plans.
• Be aware of the current trends in Stoma Care Nursing, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Urological Disorders, and Colorectal treatments and update skills accordingly.
• Identify and maintain appropriate objectives in relation to role.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with Nursing Board Guidelines in relation to professional practice.
• The post-holder will have responsibility to authorise the issue of appropriate appliances to meet the individual needs of the patient.
• The post-holder will have responsibility to recommend the use of appropriate appliances to meet the individual needs of the patient.
• Be accountable for the provision of stoma care services.
• Comply with Company and Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• Be compliant with the staff appraisal system for Stoma Care Nurse Role and identify and maintain appropriate objectives in relation to role (in conjunction with Commercial Director).
