Job description

Role: Clinical Nurse Manager (Active Nurse Pin)
Setting: Neuro Care/Rehabilitation
Location: Bournemouth
Hours: 40 hours - Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (includes some supernumerary hours)
Salary: up to £55K depending on experience

Are you an experienced Senior Nurse/Unit Lead/Clinical Lead/Head of Care or Deputy Manager?  Do you have experience with Mental Health/Complex Care, Brain Injuries or Learning Disabilities?  Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?  Toni at Amber Mace is currently working with an excellent provider who offer specialist care and rehabilitation to their residents who are suffering from complex care conditions including Mental Health/Acquired Brain Injuries and Learning Disabilities.  This is a great opportunity to join their team as Clinical Nurse Manager within a service that has a great reputation for delivering excellent care in the local area and with the CQC.

Nursing at their home is dynamic and fast paced; no two days are the same. They have created specialised environments within their care home where you can take the initiative and lead using your excellent clinical skills and knowledge to deliver the highest standards of nursing and person centred care, whilst respecting residents’ independence and choice.

As the Clinical Nurse Manager you will work alongside the Registered Manager to oversee each area, you will deputise in the Managers absence, you will also lead and support a team of specialised nurses to ensure they deliver the individual care each of the resident’s needs.  You will ideally have previous experience with Brain Injuries/Complex Care/Learning Disabilities or Mental Health and have previous experience leading a team with an active nurse pin.

About You/Skills and Qualifications

•         You’ll have a high level of clinical skills, enjoy maintaining continuity of care and building truly meaningful relationships with residents and their families
•        You must be a Senior Nurse/Clinical Lead, Nurse Qualified Deputy Manager or Clinical Head of Care
•        Experience dealing with complex care/brain injuries/learning disabilities is preferred
•        With proven strong leadership skills, it’s crucial that you can inspire, motivate and manage our talented team by example with a positive outlook on the future of care
•        A brilliant communicator, you’ll frequently engage with residents, families, staff and wider care authorities. We have a tight knit team in each are and you will also enjoy the lighter moments of your working day
•        You’ll have a detailed knowledge of CQC’s regulations and work toward maintaining/achieving exceptional results
•        You’ll happily take the lead to manage the everyday tasks of the home in the absence of the Home Manager
•        Promote and maintain a high standard of nursing care 
•        To work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and the Commission for Social Care Inspection standards
•        Conform to the latest guidelines, maintain the highest levels of clinical governance.
•        Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
•        Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
•        Accepting personal and shared responsibility for the maintenance of quality nursing care within the service


Skills/ Qualifications:
•        Active UK Nurse Pin 
•        Previous experience with Complex Care/Brain Injuries/Learning Disabilities/Mental Health is desirable
•        Experience in leading a team as a Senior Nurse/Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager or Clinical Head of Care
•        Strong clinical background
•        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
•        Hold an enthusiastic commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
•        Can do attitude
