Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 7 (£43,742 to £50,056) per annum
Hours/Contract: Permanent - 37.5 hours per week
Based: Liverpool Hospice

Reporting to, and working alongside, the Head of Operations (North West), you will lead Marie Curie's STARs service to help deliver excellent end of life care to individuals across Liverpool. You will have daily line management of a team of senior nurses, ensuring that the right workforce is trained and available to deliver high quality, safe care to patients, in their own home, in line with a supervision framework. This may also include leading on recruitment and selection and leading at investigations or disciplinary hearings on occasions.

What we are looking for:
- A Registered Nurse with Level 1 registration
- Recent experience in palliative care and ideally proven experience managing a large clinical team
- Experience of working with CHC Fast Track
- Understanding of the specific needs of patients in the End of Life phase, together with a firm understanding of community working
- Understanding of service commissioning and reporting measures
- Proficient IT Skills
- A full driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business use and a willingness to travel
You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams, District Nursing teams, Integrated Care Board, Hospital Discharge teams, partner care agencies, Patient and Family Support Team, the Marie Curie co-ordination hub, IMPaCT, Senior Nurses, Marie Curie Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in order to provide a proactive and consistent approach to delivering patient care.
A confident communicator, you will act as the clinical voice for Marie Curie, participating in local NHS palliative care strategy/ End of life groups and networks to ensure awareness and recognition of the contribution of the STARs service within the wider health and social care system, providing expert advice and information as necessary and also identifying future development opportunities. You will assume responsibility for the management of any clinical incidents and work within the Charity's clinical governance framework in order to achieve targets.
