Act as mentor/preceptor and resource person for all nursing and support staff, as appropriate to the role. Consolidate and develop personal knowledge, practical skills and evidence based nursing practice and maintain an up to date knowledge of current trends and developments. Work and act as a role model for professional practice and leadership. Provide advice on the promotion of health and the prevention of illness with particular reference to womens health. Lead in the development, co-ordination and delivery of formal/informal education programmes relating to the area of specialty. These programmes will be delivered to nursing, junior medical staff and health care assistants to increase knowledge levels of the assessment and treatment for patients.
