Job description
To be a member of a team providing comprehensive Ionising Radiation protection services to HSC and other organisations in N. Ireland. To act as a Medical Physics Expert in Diagnostic Radiology and to provide expert scientific advice and support to Radiology and other departments throughout Northern Ireland, ensuring that imaging equipment and techniques using X-rays are optimised. To initiate developments and undertake research in these fields.

A min of a 2nd class Honours degree, or equivalent, in Physics or other appropriate science subject.Registration as Clinical Scientist with the Health & Care Professions Council or achievement of registration within 12 months of appointment. , Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject e.g. MSc/PhD.Certification as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA).
