Clinical Services Manager - Pharmacy

Location: Canterbury

Job Type: Permanent Full Time 37.5 hours

Salary: £55,000 to £58,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Services Manager - Pharmacy to join the team at a prestigious private healthcare provider in the Canterbury area

The main duties of the Clinical Services Manager - Pharmacy role include:

  • Overseeing and managing the operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring its smooth functioning on a daily basis.
  • Coordinating a safe and efficient medicine management service for patients, staff, consultants, and customers.
  • Providing daily clinical guidance and leadership within the pharmacy department, offering direction to all pharmacy staff in the hospital.
  • Taking charge of care delivery, prioritizing clinical safety, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet workload demands through workforce planning, monthly scheduling, and daily assessments.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

  • Possession of a Pharmacy degree: M Pharm, B Pharm, or BSc (Pharmacy), and registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council, or registration as a pharmacy technician on the General Pharmaceutical Council technicians register.
  • Understanding of the General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics, and Performance and their application in practice.
  • Familiarity with the Care Standards Act and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
  • An appropriate amount of post-graduate experience in a clinical hospital pharmacist position.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role is advantageous
