Job description

The post is part of The Medical School’s recent expansion and commitment to the University’s strategic plan to make The University of Sheffield a world renowned centre for study, emphasising the quality of the student learning experience through its strong teaching programmes.
A successful candidate should have a background in administration, ideally within a higher educational environment, although this is not essential. The candidate should be able to display a high level of organisational skills, including attention to detail, problem solving and effective time management. The ability to work under pressure would be highly beneficial and the candidate must display a positive attitude to work.
Excellent keyboard skills and IT knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel are essential to this role.
You will be assisting with the day-to-day delivery of the Clinical Skills curriculum as specified by The University of Sheffield Undergraduate Medical Course. You will be required to work closely with the Clinical Skills team, the Patient as Educators team, the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health as a whole and the regional Associated Teaching Hospitals.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
This vacancy is part of a Fair Recruitment pilot scheme within the faculty. This is a positive action initiative which aims to improve staff diversity and to deliver an inclusive recruitment experience for all applicants.
