Role: Specialist Clinical Advisor

Therapy Area: Bowel, Colorectal

Location: East Anglia - Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk & Essex. Travel is essential for this role

Salary: Highly competitive salary, car, bonus and additional benefits package

This is a key role providing an ethical professional support service to patients using an anal irrigation system. To develop the anal irrigation market and maximize opportunities for the product range. Accountable for driving sales with target customers and to develop NHS Services to expand the number of patients gaining access to the Company’s products and retaining on those products.

You will be able to work independently, be self-motivated and have a winning mindset. You will be a strategic thinker who wants to build on your commercial awareness and skill. You will have the confidence and courage to challenge.  

You will have the passion, drive and commitment to deliver specialist bowel care in collaboration with the NHS within the specified region.

The successful candidate will be able to display empathy and have an excellent ability to develop trust. To do this you will have excellent communication skills, including listening, interpersonal and influencing skills.

In this role you will:

  • Become an expert on the Company’s bowel management system, supporting clinical pathways.
  • Confidently presenting and detailing the bowel management solution to healthcare professionals, inspiring them to recommend and prescribe it to their patients.
  • Achieve sales targets for the product and contributing to its growth.
  • Improve patient retention within healthcare accounts by challenging and optimizing clinical pathways through data-driven insights.
  • Ensure a consistent gold standard service is delivered, motivating and educating healthcare professionals on the benefits of the product.
  • Deliver education and training to key customer groups, such as nurses and consultants, to empower them with the knowledge and competence to prescribe and teach patients effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders to advocate the product and company.
  • Support Healthcare Professionals with direct patient training as required to ensure successful adoption of the product.

Qualifications:

  • Nursing or Clinical qualification desirable but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence

The Person/Experience:

  • Clinical sales experience would be an advantage.
  • Nursing experience related to bowel management is desirable.
  • Experience of service development, including patient pathways and understanding of differing patient types.
  • Account management and planning.
  • Ability to Process Map to review all variables (Stakeholders, funding, influence levels, communications) to ensure implementation of work is successful - Preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, inspiring and engaging Healthcare Professionals in the Company’s products.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Commercially focused with sales and account management experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions.
  • Able to build a good relationship with internal and external teams.
  • Adaptable to change.  
  • Exceptional listening skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a strong desire to succeed.
